This has been a difficult week. I’m not seeking sympathy or pity, no. Just explaining why I’m not as active as I used to be.

This week I had to attend a funeral. Which made me think about the value of the time given to us. About forgivness. About death as a strange barrier. I’m still convinced that death is not the end. Not for the deceased one, nor for the one’s living on with the legacy the deceased has left behind. What will I leave as my legacy? A couple of online haters, that’s for sure! Maybe some friends. My children. Memories. My work. Whatever it may be, it’s important to remember the value of time. We don’t have unlimited amount of it. So we must use it well.

Not much flash fiction or poetry to share this week, but I must confess, I joined a writing project on Substack. The story will be heavy and romantic. I’m publishing it on July 5.

Sunset

Her blue eyes smiling, caressing my face with that naughty stare. Her soft cheeks blushing red from our wordless understanding of the night we’ll spend together. Her hair shining golden in the rays of the dying sun. I don’t know her name, but I know what she is. She’s the sunset.

Time has lost its meaning.

Sleep can’t help me,

Nor can food or water.

Look at me, I’m beaming,

Eternal glow, insanely streaming

But you can create something new.

• On Sundays I share some thoughts, micro fiction and poetry, and news about my mental state my work I’m planning to share in the future.

No fantasy on Wednesday. Taking a short break before sharing the chapters of book 3 of my Lake Trilogy. I might share some surprise flash fiction or an essay if I have the time. Also, due to national holidays here and distant relatives visiting, I might not share anything in the week after. We’ll see how it goes.

Thank you for still reading my stories! I’m sorry for the non-fiction rants! I’ll shut up one day, and stick with fiction. Nobody likes people who ask too many questions and dare to question mainstream ideas.
